I am looking for some ideas for trying somewhere new in 2009
The shortlist so far is:
- Andermatt: apparently fantastic offpiste
- Turkey. Check out Turkey Heliski )
- Kashmir: up and coming extreme offpiste but old afghan war helicopters.
If anyone has been to any of these and has comments, or if you know somewhere better, preferably somewhere without snowboarders, please let me know.

Go to russia to do heliskiing trip, Krasnaya Poliana in Caucasus Mountains or go to Kamchatka. The two trips are really incredible.

thanks for the ideas Marco. We are looking to plan our 10 year off piste anniversary, so will look up the Caucasus. Our guide recommended the area a few years back as well but mentioned the helicopters are old and possible unreliable.
I’ll check it out
